Grace was born in 1856 (1) in Woolfardisworthy, Devon. She married John Dell in 1882.(2)

John Dell was born in 1856 (3) in Woolfardisworthy, Devon. His parents are John Dell of Putford and Ann Vanstone of Woolfardisworthy.

Grace left home before 1871 and worked in service for some years. After her marriage to John they moved to Ilfracombe, initially John worked as a Confectioner, but then went back to his original occupation as a Tailor. Grace and John had two children.
