His first marriage 17 Jul 1710 (1) to Elizabeth Ghist (no death record found yet. His second marriage to Mary Harris on 6 Jun 1713 (1) in Kilkhampton (Hockridg on marriage entry).

Mary Harris was born about 1680, no baptism has been found.

The records only show one son for Hugh and Mary.
