John was baptised on 15 Feb 1825 (1) n Bovey Tracey, Devon. He married twice. His first marriage was to Caroline Maynard in 1851 (2) in Truro.
Caroline Maynard was born about 1827 (3) in Truro, a possible baptism is 29 Jul 1827 Kenwyn, Cornwall Father James Maynard Mother Grace.
John worked as a Coach Body Maker, he and Caroline began married life in Truro but by 1863 had moved to Camberwell in Surrey. They had 8 children.

Caroline died 1871(4) in Camberwell aged 44 years.
After Caroline's death John married again. His second marriage was in 1874 (5) to Annie Elizabeth Reid. As far as I can tell there were no children from this second marriage and Annie died between 1881 and 1891.
John died 1892 (6) in West Ham aged 67 years.
