John was baptised on 3 May 1778 (1) in Kilkhampton, Cornwall. He married Rebecca Crocker on 8 Apr 1806 (1) in Bradworthy, Devon. Witnesses to the marriage were Thomas Hockridge and John Wade. (5)
Rebecca Crocker was born about 1785, I have not found her baptism so her year of birth is taken from the age given at the time of her burial.
John and Rebecca's first child was born in Woolfardisworthy, but by 1808 the family was in Hartland where they remained until John died when Rebecca moved to Parkham to live with her daughter. John and Rebecca had 9 children. (The three children baptised in Welcombe give the abode as Hartland)
