John was born on 25 Sep 1806 (2) and baptised 9 Nov 1806 (2) in Stoke Damerel, Devon. John married twice. His first marriage was to Eliza Ashton on 21 Mar 1828 (6) in Welcombe, Devon. As far as I know John and Eliza had no children. Eliza was buried in Welcombe on 13 Mar 1830 (6) aged 20 years.

John's second marriage was to Mary Mountjoy on 13 Oct 1831 (1) in Kilkhampton, Cornwall.

Mary Mountjoy was baptised on 14 Aug 1808 (1) in Kilkhampton, Cornwall. Her parents are Henry Mountjoy and Grace.
